Product Policy

The Short Version

The official legal version of this is below. Here is a summary of our product policy in our own words:

We don’t want to take your money if you are not happy with our product.

Lifetime Limited Warranty

Housefish warrants our products to be free of defects in the materials and workmanship for as long as they are owned by the original purchaser.

“Defects” as used in this warranty is defined as: imperfections which impair the utility of the product or affect the structural integrity of the product. The warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear. Natural wood products can have color and grain variations and these are not considered “defects.”

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligent use, negligence during assembly, unauthorized repairs, fire, floods, and other acts of nature. Clearance and outlet sale items are provided As Is with no warranty or returns. Customer must provide photographs of the defect so that we can determine the extent of the defect and its most efficient resolution.

If the furniture component is deemed defective, Housefish will furnish a repaired or replacement component at no cost, or obtain repair services at no cost to the customer after an evaluation of the defect. Housefish will pay to ship the defective product back (if applicable), but it is the customer’s responsibility to pack the product appropriately for secure shipment. The product should be returned in its original packaging, but if this is not possible, it is the customer’s responsibility to procure suitable alternative packaging.

This warranty does not cover shipping damage. Shipping damage must be reported immediately upon receipt directly to Housefish. Please email info [at] about shipping damage immediately upon receipt of damaged merchandise. Please save all packaging so we can document the damage to the shipping company. If customer signs the shipping company delivery receipt “received in good condition”, or does not report shipping damage directly to Housefish within 48 hours of receipt, no shipping damage claim will be honored by Housefish.

This warranty applies to conditions of normal residential use, but does not apply to intentional damage, negligence, excessive wear and tear, or unreasonable use.

This warranty is limited to the product itself, and does not cover incidental or consequential damages.

The terms of this warranty may change without notice, but will not be changed in a way that affects your original warranty.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Return Policy

We understand that sometimes you change your mind about a purchase, and that’s no problem. Purchases made from can be returned for any reason within 30 days of the date of delivery. If the product is not defective, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. The products must be returned in their original packaging, and in new, unused condition. You must contact us at info [at] for a Return Authorization prior to returning any product.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for purchases made from other retailers or websites. Please contact your original retailer directly for information about their return policy.
