The following warranty applies to furniture used in residential settings. Please contact us for details on our commercial warranty.
Lifetime Limited Warranty
Housefish warrants our products placed in normal residential use to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for as long as they are owned by the original purchaser.
“Defects” as used in this warranty is defined as: imperfections which impair the utility of the product or affect the structural integrity of the product. The warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear. Natural wood products can have color and grain variations and these are not considered “defects.”
NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES , INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXTEND BEYOND THE TERM OF THIS WARRANTY.
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligent use, negligence during assembly, unauthorized repairs, fire, floods, and other acts of nature. Customer must provide photographs of the defect so that we can determine the extent of the defect and its most efficient resolution.
This warranty does not cover shipping damage. Shipping damage must be reported immediately upon receipt directly to Housefish. Please email info [at] housefish.com about shipping damage immediately upon receipt of damaged merchandise. Please save all packaging so we can document the damage to the shipping company. If customer signs the shipping company delivery receipt “received in good condition”, or does not report shipping damage directly to Housefish within 48 hours of receipt, no shipping damage claim will be honored by Housefish.
This warranty applies to conditions of normal residential use, but does not apply to use in a commercial setting, intentional damage, negligence, excessive wear and tear, or unreasonable use.
This warranty is limited to the product itself, and does not cover incidental or consequential damages. The remedies provided under this Warranty state the limit of Housefish’s responsibilities.
If the furniture component is deemed defective, Housefish will furnish a repaired or replacement component at no cost, or obtain repair services at no cost to the customer after an evaluation of the defect. Housefish will pay to ship the defective product back (if applicable), but it is the customer’s responsibility to pack the product appropriately for secure shipment. The product should be returned in its original packaging, but if this is not possible, it is the customer’s responsibility to procure suitable alternative packaging.
Your furniture must be properly stored in an indoor climate controlled environment, cleaned, and maintained as directed in the assembly instructions. Housefish will not repair or replace furniture with any damage caused by other than normal and proper usage or contributed to by improper storage (including uncontrolled environments such as outdoor storage containers, tarps, etc.), improper maintenance, incorrect installation, misuse or abuse, alterations made without the written consent of Seller, faulty repairs made by any person other than Housefish and/or its agents or assigns, or defects arising from materials supplied by you, or designs or specifications stipulated by you or your agent.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the furniture.
The terms of this warranty may change without notice, but will not be changed in a way that affects your original warranty.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
We understand that sometimes you change your mind about a purchase, and that’s no problem. Purchases made from housefish.com can be returned for any reason within 30 days of the date of delivery. If the product is not defective, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. The products must be returned in their original packaging, and in new, unused condition. You must contact us at info [at] housefish.com for a Return Authorization prior to returning any product.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for purchases made from other retailers or websites. Please contact your original retailer directly for information about their return policy.
